Scholarship Application

Scholarships
Shasta County CattleWomen award two $1,000 scholarships each year to Shasta County high school seniors and current college students and are not based on financial need. An agricultural background is not required but highly encouraged. The applicant requirements are Attend a four-year college next year Carry twelve or more units Study an agricultural field or be a family member of a current Shasta County CattleWoman Be a legal United States citizen. Applicants will be selected based on cumulative results of the application elements listed below and possibly an oral interview. In the event of a tie, a family member of a Shasta County CattleWomen member will receive 10 bonus points. Upon receiving a scholarship, applicant must mail a copy of their admission slip from the college before the funds will be released. If proof of admission is not received by September 15th the Shasta County CattleWomen’s Scholarship will expire. The following items must be included in the application packet for it to be considered Completed application form Certified transcript of high school work (copy will not be accepted) two letters of recommendation attached to application Limited to one by school employee, relatives may not be used.
